BODIPY FL C12 is a green-fluorescent dye that is reactive with primary amines on biomolecules, and acts as a precursor to fluorescent phospholipids. This fatty-acid derivative may react with amines using a carbodiimide like EDAC or DIPC or may be used to form ester-linked conjugates or acid-halide products. It is relatively insensitive to environment and pH changes.
